Professional Services at Nutanix
The Nutanix Consulting Services Japan team in Professional Services Organization delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix design & implementation by its customers. The Consulting Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their hybrid multi-cloud journey.
The Consulting Services Japan function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration and automation services as well as project management as we call "full life cycle project". by doing those, the Consulting Services Japan help customers to accelerate the adoption of Nutanix technologies and help customers to obtain a faster ROI – That is, "True Customer Success"
As a result, the Consulting Services Japan Team became one of the most growing Services organizations in Asia Pacific Japan and world wide at Nutanix. So we are looking for a new top-notch consultant to support more delivery capability and capacity.

Your Role
- Key technology which our Japan consultants deliver - hybrid multi cloud technology, on-premise and/or public cloud for Server Virtualization/End User Computing, Private IaaS, Disaster Recovery, V2V Migration, Software Defined Network, Virtual Private Cloud, File Server & Object Storage, Operational Processes Automation (Self-Service), Database Services Automation & Life Cycle Management, Secondary Storage, Nutanix Cluster on AWS and Azure, 3rd Party Software Integration (End User Computing, Hybrid Cloud Backup Technology)
- Billable Project work 70% of time, mainly within Japan.
- Practice Development and create new consulting service offerings which are suitable in Japan market. Participate in a limited pre-sales involvement to provide services overlay to the existing services sales motion primarily as a SME.
What You’ll Bring
- This position specifically requires a minimum of 7-8 years of experience as a consultant in the infrastructure, virtualization as a baseline skillset, and Cloud Native such as Kubernetes, Public Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) experiences.
- Native spoken and written Japanese are mandatory
- Business level of listening and speaking English are preferred, but not mandatory, at least reading and writing English are mandatory
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
- Deep understanding of storage fabrics and technologies like SAN, NAS, file, block and object storage services, DFS.
- Deep understanding of data protection technologies like replication, snapshot, backup, restore, etc.
- Deep understanding of datacenter network fabric topologies and common architecture (both L2/L3 based), firewall, etc.
- Ability to be technically hands-on in servicing the requirements of a client.
- Robust customer relationship attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
- High level of comfort performing whiteboarding sessions and PowerPoint presentations, creating best practice white papers.
- "Lead" requirement gathering and design workshops, environment build and unit-test & integration test and handover to the client. all of those phases as a primary resource by "hands-on" (This is NOT providing advice or review only to SIer and/or customer as “advisory” consulting)
- A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory (A Bachelor of Science is preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- On-premise Infrastructure, virtualization as a baseline skillset, and Cloud Native such as Kubernetes, Public Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) experiences are must
- Experience with Microsoft Virtualization Technologies and Azure pack.
Experience with Amazon Web Services Technologies. - Deep understanding of software-defined storage with a particular focus on distributed storage.
- Migration of workload, V2V.
- Experience in network virtualization with a focus on NSX or ACI.
- Experience in virtualizing enterprise applications (SQL, Exchange, Oracle).
- High comfort level using one or more automation tools or orchestration frameworks such as
- VMware vCO, Microsoft Systems Center Orchestrator, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Puppet, Chef, OpenStack.
- Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE.
- Experience in working in SIer in Japan and/or Professional Services/Consulting Services organization at software companies.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems are preferred.

I have been publishing those references in previous companies and at Nutanix as well. That makes our team members very proud of their accomplishment.
- Who they’re hoping to find in this search - I am looking for candidates who have been in Professional Services/Consulting Services business and/or SIer with strong delivery experience, as primary resources, working directly with customers by using those technologies stated above. Also soft skills, can-do attitude, “proactive” mindset, work independently, and take responsibility for the results. Building strong relationships with all levels of people at customers and/or partners.
